2009-01-27 - OFFICIAL VISIT OF CHISINAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DELEGATION TO AIRPORTS OF MONTENEGRO
During 25/01/09 – 28/01/09 delegation of Chisinau International Airport – Moldova lead by Mr. Roman Podcortiov, Managing Director paid visit to Airports of Montenegro.
In December 2008, Chisinau Airport - the main international airport in Moldova - has signed loan agreements with European Bank For Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank for reconstruction and modernization of the airport amounting to approximately EUR 40 million.
Following recommendations of EBRD and EIB on successful implementation of investment in case of reconstruction and modernization of Podgorica and Tivat Airports, the Chisinau Airport delegation expressed great interest in learning experiences of Airports of Montenegro in modernization project management. Given it was financially supported by EIB and EBRD loans, Montenegrin Airports Modernization Program can give good example.
The Chisinau Airport delegation was motivated to visit Montenegrin airports to exchange positive experiences and get knowledge of example of an efficient implementation of major state infrastructure projects such as the one implemented within Airports of Montenegro.
Representatives of Chisinau Airport, Managing Director – Mr. Roman Podcoritov and Director of Airports of Montenegro – Mr. Milovan Djurickovic have signed Memorandum of Understanding. This Memorandum represents a framework for cooperation between to airport operators aimed at exchange of best experiences, establishment of a high quality contribution to safety in aviation and airport services and upgrade of service quality level at airports.
